Healthcare Worker and Mother Finds Balance in the Allied Health Leadership Program at ºÃÉ«TVÏÂÔØ

Krista Gradischek felt she had reached the highest level in her job at Independence Health without having earned a bachelor’s degree. So she spoke to a counselor at ºÃÉ«TVÏÂÔØ about furthering her education. She then enrolled in the Allied Health Leadership Program through the Online Bachelor’s Degree Program. The Allied Health Leadership Program allows healthcare professionals and students to cultivate their careers.

“ºÃÉ«TVÏÂÔØ has just been a wonderful school to attend!” Krista said. “I would never have guessed “as a mom” with so many activities going, I would be close to finishing a bachelor’s degree thanks to the online program.”

"This program has allowed me to reach my education goals while maintaining balance in my personal life, my present job and community involvement."

Krista pursued a career in the healthcare field because it aligned well with her family’s routine. The program gives her the opportunity to study while being a parent of two children. Krista has also volunteered as a board member and coach of the Greater Latrobe Youth Cheerleading for the last three years.

“This program has allowed me to reach my education goals while maintaining balance in my personal life, my present job and community involvement,” Krista said.

Krista aims to move up to a position in office management at her employer after completing her degree. Independence Health is a partner of ºÃÉ«TVÏÂÔØ. They have encouraged employees like Krista to advance their education, and to take advantage of discounted tuition to do so.

“The Allied Health Program has been an incredible experience,” Krista says. “It has shown me that you are never too old to achieve your educational and professional goals.”
